Will drug sniffing dogs descend on my hemp shoulder bag if I go through U.S. customs?

Bag perfectly fits my English-Krinkistani dictionary, or I'd leave it at home.

Anybody fly with hemp?

Hemp isn't illegal.

Do the dogs know that?

Why are you so worried about the dogs keying in on your bag? What's in that bag? I'm calling a friend of mine who happens to be a customs dog and telling him to watch for you and your bag (even a dog won't fall for your pathetic dictionary trick!)
Troublemaker!

I bet he keeps a huge baggie of pot in that bag, and doesn't want to arouse the ire of the dogs. The dogs never share.

You mistake me sir. I have nothing to hide. The bag in question is a diplomatic pouch and contains nothing but the dictionary, copies of US-Krinkistan treaties, and three kilos of fine poppy byproduct samples from my country.

Doesn't that give you diplomatic immunity?

As it says in your Mother Goose rhymes, immunity is not impunity.

I'm not quite sure what that means, however.

Maybe I'll just take my other bag, stitched from the finest coca leaves.

Well why didn't you say so, dogs can tell the difference between common drugs and an endowment of peace from an ally. You'll be fine, but be sure to burn some of to byproduct in the airplane lavatory to ensure freshness, the flight crew will be most appreciative.

Put one bag inside the other, saturate with alcohol, roll in Alpo and beef jerky, and just walk through customs. The dogs won't pay you no mind.

That requires a shot.

One time when my buddy flew back from Vancouver to Toronto, he brought back a bunch of B.C Bud by stuffing baggies in the seat post of his Kona Stinky-Dee, which rode in the belly of the plane. Baggies in the seat post, seat post in the seat tube, made it through with no problems at all. B.C Bud is very nice bud, stinky as all hell, as well. Should mention that this was just after 9-11 as well. Probably doesn't matter as it was a domestic flight in Canada.

The dogs did sniff his hemp shoulder bag, or "man-purse" as we liked to call it. No problems there either.

A seat tube probably isn't the most airtight place to stash it. I trained dog wouldn't have much trouble finding that.

Turn them into clothing and wear it like Woody Harrelson did.

You should be fine.

I'm still trying to figure this one out ---- like soybeans - soy products are all over, not to mention eating them.

And, I guess, hemp is the same way .... you can wear it, etc --- and you can eat it. <scratches head>

nothing wrong with a good haggis, although the example pictured does not appear to be one.
