Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. so I bought another pair of powergrips for my other fixie and notice this set doesn't have holes to secure them on. instead they use clamps. Did the company redesign the strap? or did I buy an old pair.
I would think the one with the holes are more secure than the clamps.
so far the pair with the holes haven't snapped off or anything + I'm a pretty heavy guy.

You bought the new redesigned style. They are very secure, just make sure not to over-tighten the bolt when fixing the strap.

Can you send a picture or a link to the model you bought?
I am not sure I understand what you got.
I used to have the regular model and need to buy it again (Windsor was stolen).
I noticed they have a model for fixies. anyone bought it and can share some insights?
