I'm seriously thinking about it.
I might also regret that I just pulled the 520 apart for it's repaint/restoration. Doh!

Sounds like it could be a good ride if you go for the century distance. The Irish Hills area is one of my favorite places to ride in Southeast Michigan. It's too bad the route doesn't continue past Sand Lake, however. The terrain continues to be rolling and fun for several miles west of there.
The only reason that I won't be attending the ride is that the start point is about forty miles away from my home. I don't own a car, nor do I drive cars when I can avoid it, so I'd have to bike to the starting point. I'd have to leave long before sunrise to make it for the start, and I'd probably end up riding until late in the afternoon before getting home that night. If I was in slightly better shape I might try to go for it, but I've been lazy this summer, and I haven't even done a century yet. Maybe I'll go out and ride by myself from my home and try to intersect with the route that the tour will be riding.
