Foo - If wishes came true, I'd.....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

....bring all my family back. :)
What is YOUR wish?
Infinite wishes! Woo!
Failing that, I'd wish for the ability to teleport, so I could visit and spend time with people and at places on a whim, no matter the distance.
Or, depending on my mood the day I'm offered the wish, the eradication of humanity. :)

I wish there was an interdimensional coffee shop we could all go hang out in together regardless of time and distance.
That'd be cool, but does it have to be a coffee shop? :)

Well, it could serve more than coffee, silly. It would be interdimensional.

Lots of cash.
Then that "world peace" and the "finding a cure for cancer" stuff.
But first the cash.
Well, it could serve more than coffee, silly. It would be interdimensional.Maybe it could be more of a general interdimensional hub, which happens to have a coffee shop in it, among other things. Like a hypermall, but less focused on commerce.

Sure, except in space. Space is cool.
Sure, except in space. Space is cool.
But with some kind of roational force/gravity otherwise our tyres would slip.
But yes, space IS cool :)

Yes, but how would liquids stay in the cups? Those bulb things are positively tacky.

The ability to transport (e.g. instantaneous travel) so I could go anywhere anytime I was free. I could visit Hong Kong one night after work and then head to Australia for the weekend. :)
I thought foo WAS an intergalactic international interdimensional hub palace thingy. We certainly are spacey, at least.
I would wish to feel again the intensity of friendships that have faded away.

I could slap the taste out of your mouth of you wish. That would be intense.

Oh, but then you miss out on all the fun of international travel, like finding your bags are in Murmansk only when you are not ;)
Donna's coffee shop / interdimensional whatsit sounds cool, but aside from that I'm really not sure what I'd wish for. When I was a kid, I used to think it would be cool to have the ability to slow and stop time... that way I could get all my homework done and still have lots of time to play. I guess I'd still like to be able to do that.
If not that, then I would wish that I lived in the Hitchhiker's Guide universe, only without the whole demolished Earth bit.

I'm gonna have to use my default answer here, and go with Steve Martin:
A Holiday Wish
written by Steve Martin, performed on Saturday Night Live (1991)
Steve Martin: If I had one wish that I could wish this holiday season, it would be that all the children to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. If I had two wishes I could make this holiday season, the first would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing in the spirit of harmony and peace. And the second would be for 30 million dollars a month to be given to me, tax-free in a Swiss bank account. You know, if I had three wishes I could make this holiday season, the first, of course, would be for all the children of the world to get together and sing, the second would be for the 30 million dollars every month to me, and the third would be for encompassing power over every living being in the entire universe. And if I had four wishes that I could make this holiday season, the first would be the crap about the kids definitely, the second would be for the 30 million, the third would be for all the power, and the fourth would be to set aside one month each year to have an extended 31-day orgasm, to be brought out slowly by Rosanna Arquette and that model Paulina-somebody, I can't think of her name. Of course my lovely wife can come too and she's behind me one hundred percent here, I guarantee it. Wait a minute, maybe the sex thing should be the first wish, so if I made that the first wish, because it could all go boom tomorrow, then what do you got, y'know? No, no, the kids, the kids singing would be great, that would be nice. But wait a minute, who am I kidding? They're not going to be able to get all those kids together. I mean, the logistics of the thing is impossible, more trouble than it's worth! So -- we reorganize! Here we go. First, the sex thing. We go with that. Second, the money. No, we got with the power second, then the money. And then the kids. Oh wait, oh jeez, I forgot about revenge against my enemies! Okay, I need revenge against all my enemies, they should die like pigs in hell! That would be my fourth wish. And, of course, my fifth wish would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. Thank you everybody and Merry Christmas.

I'd wish that everyone rode their bikes to work. Simple as that!
I can't believe I forgot this one. One thing I've always wanted to do (but obviously never will) is to visit the Earth as it would be if every human on the planet suddenly vanished, except a hundred or two years past that point. I'd love to wander (or bike, drive, whatever) around this abandoned world, and observe things. See how nature has taken back the areas that Man had claimed as his own. See what of humanity's creations are surviving better than others. See if any machines still run. See what darkness really looks like, and what quiet really is. Just spend some time in this land for a while before coming back to the real world. It'd be fun. At least to me.

There are a number of things I suppose I could wish for. There are even more things I would work for, were they feasible.
Mostly, I'd wish to be able to punch my crazy aunt in the face and not have any repercussions. I'd be able to fight corporations who abuse their workers. I'd go after the people who profit off those who use and abuse others for their own advancement, whether they're CEOs or politicians.
Maybe I'm just in a mood...
