das hot mang! I didnt check the heat index but i'm sure it was above 110. I cut it short at an hour and a half at an easy to moderate tempo. Welcome to august in texas!
same here, did about an hour and said fuhgeddaboudit.
I didn't even bother yesterday, it was 109 when I got home.

I went out yesterday for my 2.5 hr Wednesday ride and cut 8 minutes off my best time in 105 deg heat here in Abilene. I was whacked when I got home and pretty much put off the rest of the day's plans. Did my intervals today, no prob, 103 deg.

Yesterday radio on my ears told me it was 107... turned my 30 miler to a 15 pretty quick. Today it was only 102 so I did the full route. ;)

We are having a "cool spell". Two rides in a row with temps less than 100 here.

The wife's car said 117 after sitting for an hour in a parking lot! Went for a ride yesterday evening after it cooled down (to 100) and for the first time ever (I'm kind of new to TX) the "breeze" from riding was hot :P Kind of like riding in your car with the heater on  And I thought riding when it was 97 was hot...

Mr. Lancaster.....I'm glad I live just 50 miles south of you.....We're always 20 degrees cooler in the summer and 20 degrees warmer during the winter than you guys out there in the high desert...

OKC here, it's been high 90s to 106 for the past month or so. Sucks. . 25 miles and both bottles are out. :crash:

We've been lucky to hit mid-80's here in the northeast, but the humidity has been consistently around 90% for the last 2 weeks. Humidity that high makes it hard to breathe and wears you out a lot quicker.

Yeah. I'd rather have 105 & 35% than 90 & 95% :P
