Friends -

I had a normal, short ride on my felt F65 on Sunday and went out to do the same on Tuesday morning, to discover that the rear tire was flat. I wanted to get on the road quickly, so I replaced the tube, pumped it up, and went for my ride. I got the bike over the winter, and this is the first flat.

I jst went out to prepare for a ride tomorrow morning, and found that the rear tire is flat again. I know it could be a coincidence, but...

I never looked very carefully at the old tube, but I've still got it and will inspect it. What can I look for on the tire/wheel that might be causing this?

The specs on the tire and wheel are:
Continental Sport 1000, Kevlar bead, 700 x 23C and Kenda Koncept 650 x 23c, both w/Kevlar bead.

Thanks in advance,

Resoman

Look for a little piece of glass or wire poking through the tire. Check to make sure that your rim strip or tape is in place and no spoke ends are exposed.

Yeah-you probably neglected to remove whatever caused you to flat in the first place.

If you don't see whatever is causing the puncture
try taking your tire off the rim, and running some cotton
along the inside of the tire. If there is something there it
will snag the cotton and be very easy to find.
