43 mph on the flat!

Or, did you mean while pedaling forward?

depends on your gearing. gear inches or whatever, for MPH,KPH.

unless you're talking RPM? I would say ~150. maybe a little more.

I've done 43-44 mph in a sprint (about 100 yards) at the end of a race.

The current national record for the flying 200 meter is 10.062 seconds, making the average speed 44.46mph.

I don't have a speedo on my fixie, but I would estimate about 27 mph.

Fast enough to make sure nobody has time to recognize my face as I violate the traffic laws like a gimp in the basement.

I don't know why this kid has the steerer jammed up his anus, but it doesn't look pleasant.

I know what the move is, I just want to know why he has to jam the steerer up his ass while doing it.

Maybe he likes it. I hear that some folks like things stuck up their ass.

Holy crap!! How do you get that thing started without falling over?

It would have to be a tow- or push-start. There's no way a fixed gear bike intended to go 120-150 MPH is ridable at low speeds. :)

If the bike I found data on is the same one pictured there, the rider is pushing about 380 gear inches. A regular, street-ridden fixed gear bike is usually geared at about 65-75 inches.
