I've been reading about the progress others have made. I'm very impressed with how easy it was to actually throw the bike together.
Like others have said though, f@ck the paint job. I wasted a good week trying to make it look good, but the paint didn't dry hard and it scrapes off with a finger nail. Next time, I'm just going to strip the original paint and clear coat the frame.
I have a small issue still though. That is, the bottom bracket seems to jiggle. I think the frame threads were actually stripped a little when either taking off the BB housing or putting it back on. Needless to say, it's a little crooked and there is some play. Any way to fix this?
If nothing else, I'll just go find another frame at a thrift shop and put the whole thing back together. It'll get easier as I do this more eh?
It was a blast to ride today and I'll do more tomorrow. I'd post pictures, but I don't have a digital camera.
