Mountain Biking - Drama Fill in?

I was out for a 3 hour night ride last night. It was fun.

So what happened round these parts?

It looks like everyone of petes posts have been deleted?

Who cried and who was offended?

Are people still upset about Pete having money?

Is Mike Dansey going to actually buy a bike?

Did we come to a solution for responding to incorrect advice without offending the poster? what can be said and what cannot be said? (the reason I ask is because it seems fine if other members fire back harshly at people posting nonsense but if Pete posts something like that all hell will break loose)

Is pete limited to posting only pictures and videos?

My suspicion is the mods deleted it. It started off on the wrong foot being aimed at a particular person (Pete). It kinda became a pounce-on-Pete thread. And, though he's perfectly capable of defending himself he really shouldn't have to. Anyway, that was my take on it.

BTW, I had Brian delete my drama thread just because the issue got resolved.

I tink people dislike Pete because he's incredibly harsh to anyone who could have used Google to find what they're looking for instead of posting here.

Using that logic, you can find anything on Google. So why ever post a question on this sacred forum of experts and waste their time with a question that to them is dumbass?

The heated discussion was started by myself, because I was tired of Pete. I was drawn to nothing ;) And given the insulting nature of his posts, I couldn't merely stand back and watch... that would be akin to letting him win, I suppose. But he didn't win. I'm still here, am I not?

For reference, the insult I noted was a degrading comment about someone's sexuality (or gender identification? Excuse me, I don't know the proper term). I find this kind of thought/comment utterly disgraceful. I guess it's the commie pinko liberal in me.
