Nice pics of the changing seasons. I wish I had a camera with me at the Wright Stuff Century on 9/2- some great glimpses of yellow leaves falling onto the road in the sunlight. I'm going for an early AM ride tomorrow- maybe I'll "borrow" my wife's digital camera and snap a couple pix of the farmland outside of Madison. I'll post them if I do!

Still pretty green around here. Nothing changing yet. This week might put that into fast forward though.

Looking at the pics from Chequamagon last weekend (Skinnyski.com), the colors are comming out quite nicely up there (Hayward, WI). Just a little rusty color showing here in SE WI, but noticeably more than last week. Was running errands in the car yesterday, took a few pics from the Lake Denoon area (Muskego, WI).

Ahhh Fall! Cooler temps make me think of getting out the mountain bike and waxing the skis too.
BUT, WAIT! I'm not putting away my road bike yet!!!!! I can"t -- I won't!!!
Where did the summer go?

Skis? Ahhhhhh ...
I used to train all summer for the ski season ... I LOVED IT!
I'm more level headed now, I'll bike/ski/hike/indoor depending on the day and not get all bummed out when I can't do what I planned on.
Less stressful that way.
(Heading out for a short ride right now ... will try an grab a autumn pic worthy of posting.

I definitely heard someone mention skiing. Going to Keystone Thanksgiving week with my 16-year old. Can't wait. But 60 degrees around here for another 6 weeks would be just fine. Bike until then.:D

The trails around here are now covered with leaves. It was beautiful today in one section I got to witness the sun rise over the river and the light shine in through holes in the canopy and illuminate all of the leaves which had turned yellow while leaving the trail dark.
It was as if everything was on fire. I was in awe. Good to be alive and riding a bike.

Here are some cellphone images from my ride in and around Kettle Moraine South over the weekend, nothing quite as stunning as Pupsocket's pictures. (Hey, it's a spoonerism! I just got it!) Still lots of green but some color, especially some nice reds in the low brush. I need to start to carry a real camera, as my cellphone just isn't cutting it! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos from Lapham peak as the daylight was waning and I needed to get back before dark.
Cellphone pic on the way up Waterville Road.

Nice pics. Tip: edit the "?v=0" from the Flickr number so it ends in .jpg and the pics will show here. ;)

I was in Stevens Point today visiting (no time to bike and I had forgotten the camera! http://www.freedomcrowsnest.org/forum/images/smiles/doh.gif ) and they are past peak. That pretty much confirms that here in southern Wisconsin, we ARE at peak. SHould be good to see the colors this week yet. http://www.freedomcrowsnest.org/forum/images/smiles/thumb.gif
