Foo - What will you miss about summer?

Even though it was dry and ungodly hot, I will miss summer - especially the whole "casualness" of it. I can count on one hand the number of times I wore shoes this summer (except for cycling shoes). Just an old pair of sandals, if anything. Light summerfare dinners on the patio with white wine, fireflies, etc... - "...and the living is easy."

Also, all the sweating I did on rides helped me shed 14 pounds - feel fitter than ever.

Oh, right. I've seen your threads. Sorry about that, guy. Heartbreak does suck and it may not help much now, but I guarantee you won't miss her by next summer. :D:D:D Smile, Mister. Life is better than you think!

What will you miss about summer?
The fact that it's actually gone. If I were still in FL, we'd have about 2 more months of hot weather still.

Leaving the patio door open. Winter consists of - open door throw dog's ball, close door. 30sec to 5min later, hear bark, open door let dog in. Repeat until insane.

Going outside without 20min of preparatory bundling in clothes. All those extra layers, boots..

Now I'm depressed - going to wallow for a while.

Summer is over?
Actually i don't remember even having a summer.....

So i will give you what i miss about summer in general:

- being able to sit outside and enjoy a beer in the evening wearing only a t-shirt
- that summer fresh feeling

Longer days. It sucks, I hate how fast the sun sets now, and I complain about it every year. No more rides at 7pm, and if I want a long ride on a workday, I gotta get up so much earlier so I can get in and get out early.

Don't mind the cold, actually I welcome it; I'm not a big fan of the heat, and humidity.

You gotta move. We're good till 9:30/10. Of course, I live in the land of pitch black in the winter. Everything's a trade off.

How far up there are you? We went to Quebec around the summer solstice. I really liked that.

Nothing. I can't wait for winter! :D

Not have to get up at 5:45 to get my son ready for school. I missed the extra 45 minutes of sleep.

Being able to go for a ride with my husband after work. This getting dark stuff sucks!

the only thing i'm gonna miss is the late evenings/sunlight till 8:30-8:45. other than that - nothing. i hate the hot weather we've had here.

there was a summer? It rained and was clowdy the entire time. We had a total of 8 days of summer. I miss last summer...

Summers in general, not much (This specific summer, though, yeah, lots). I like cool/cold weather, and I like riding in the dark.


3. womens summer clothing...Yeah, okay, there's that. But the ones that look good in summer clothing look good in winter clothing as well. There's just more left to the imagination. :)

That it is still three months away, or rather last one was seven months ago.:( On the other hand it is getting warmer now and the daylight lasts longer.:D I just hope we actually get a good summer this year.

Ahh... springtime riding is great. Not to hot, not to cold and all the daffodils and blossoms around.

Ill miss the company when I bike.
I hardly ever see anyone in the winter.
Ill miss the small chat or hooking up with another cyclist to finish a ride.
