Old Toad ---- 90 bottle varieties, 12-20 beers on tap!

Starting off with a Hoegaarden, heading into a 3 phillosopher.

:D

Just thought you'd want to know. Just have to tether Nu&Blu outside and show of my sporty lycra at the bar. :D

Cheers!!

Last time I was there was for mardi gras with a friend from TX - had two drag queens in there dressed in sparkly white - and had a good time. Never had a problem with the waiters. Awesome bartenders.

It's too high toned for me. I'd rather drink in a bar that has three or four kinds of beer.

i like the beer in white cans that say BEER in black letters and that open with a can opener, and a dark alley or city park lends the perfect ambience to truly savor the coquettish bouquet of the beverage.

Either that or a bud light, my lazy boy and college football.

going with option 2 in 3,2,1 outtie.........

If you have one near you, go to a Yardhouse.

My God, it's like Mecca.

I make it a special point to go there and ... No Hoegaarden. :( But I had a couple other interesting brews, sat outside and people watched - while about 8 people schmoked themselves to death in the tables right next to me. <cough> Beer was good though :) Ottercreek white sail, mild - ok nothing I'd get again and a Bear Republic Red Rocket - amber - I liked that one!

You know after I had the mild white sail beer first, I tried nut brown - and I didn't care for the almost tart taste to it. :)

I had a fairly major supplier of fish, etc to the local restaurants move recently to less than a block away (warm days near garbage day make for a putrid ride by there too!) - and they have some awesome oysters. Needless to say, I've treated myself to 6 or a dozen on a semi-regular basis. YUM.

Having the Hood River channel and all the oyster beds just an hour or two away, we're hardly ever at a shortage for good oysters. (Except during the vibrio scares when it's too warm, and I usually chance it anyhow.)
Oysters, Elijah Craig bourbon, and a pint of Pike's Kilt Lifter. Mmmmmm.

Nice. Before Katrina I think raw oysters were $2.40/dozen at Cooters. We used to tip the shucker real nice up-front and he was working for us most of the rest of the night...

Beer and raw oysters...twist my arm...
