Do any of you refer to Mile By Mile when you are planning your touring, or even local routes? I created a set of routes for a Super Randonneur series in central Alberta this past winter, and used Mile By Mile as one of my references. I've also used it when I am curious about other local roads/routes.
Yes, I know the site is designed for RVs and leaves out lots of information like shoulder width and terrain, but it includes quite a bit of information that cycletourists could use, like camping info, the availability of toilets along the way, tourist stuff, and best of all, occasional photos of the routes.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
