Hi,
I was looking at the Xootr Swift page where the steps to fold the bike are shown. At one point they say in order to get a significantly smaller fold size to "pop off" the handlebars. Does this mean the handlebars have some sort of quick release lever? Or is does it require a key or wrench?
Thanks a lot
Hi Jandor33,
Yes there is a quick release lever at the point where the handlebar stem slides down on the head tube. You flip that up and the handlebars pull right off, with the cables still attached. You can then turn the handlebars 90 degrees to the right and lay them down along the top tube and they will lay their nicely while you tote the bike around.
If I remember when I get home tonight I'll post a couple of pictures to illustrate.

Hi , When I bought my Swift I was advised not to take the handlebars out too frequently ( if at all , if cld be avoided ) - thoughts?
I must say, I can't see a reason why it should be avoided. Except possibly for cables picking up wear & tear.
I hope that isn't a big problem because I yank my handlebars out almost every time I fold up the bike!
