hey all,
tomorrow i'm meeting some friends in a cabin in barryville, ny (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Barryville,+NY,+United+States+of+America&sa=X&oi=map&ct=title). i live in brooklyn and was thinking of taking the train from penn station to port jervis, and biking the 18 miles up 97 to the cabin - BUT - seeing as how 18 miles isn't that much, does anyone have any recommendations for doing something more in the realm of 40-80 miles? where is it pretty and where is there sprawl? should i get off at an earlier stop and bike farther, or should i get off at port jervis and do some sort of loop and end up in barryville? this is tomorrow, so any last minute help would be super appreciated!
