Mountain Biking - 29 inch suspention forks?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hallo all,
I'd like to know which company makes a high-end, lightweight and/or strong 28" suspention fork? Preferably for serious XC riding. Is a fork from one of those 29" mountain bikes an option?
Thanks in advance,
Timo
Are you talking rims or forks? If youre talking forks, Im assuming 28" you mean the total height of it?

28" is the rim (700c), normal RR size. But most 700c suspension forks I know are for touring and to weak for XC
Too weak for XC? What kinda forks are you talking about? Even 63mm forks are just fine for XC. Shoot, even rigid forks are okay. Im confused by your question/statement.

Marazocchi makes 29" specific forks, but thats it
I want to know what kind of suspension fork I can use in my cyclocross bike to prepare it for a marathon. I don't have a mountainbike and I am used to the position on the CC bike.

29" MTBs have 700c rims. you can use road tires on a 29" MTB rim. so yes, you probably could put a 29" MTB fork on your CX bike, and your tire would still fit. your handling might be screwed up if you don't already have a fork on your bike now. (It will turn slower, mostly)
also, what size head tube do you have? for most suspension forks, you need a 1 1/8 inch head tube.

No no White Bros. and RST also make a 29" wheel fork. I am sure others will follow soon.
Thanks for all the help. Phatman, I have a 1 1/8" head tube.

Well well well... learn something new everyday. I suspected RST made a 29" suspension fork but I didn't know White Bros. did. I just checked out the specs on the BW line from their webpage and they look sweet. Admittedly though, I don't think I'd ride a 29 incher. I think the frame to support it might end up being too big for me or I'd end up with some pretty strange geometry.
