I registered last night. I'll be doing the 100, hopefully sticking with the guys from champion systems up front again.

Second year doing this, hope to actually complete the 100 miles this time. Didn't make it last year, never rode the trail before and those hills on the Jersey side got me. Riding for the Credit Suisse Team.

I'm in! 1st time doing it and I am kind of excited to ride through the Lincoln Tunnel!

A member of my family has MS so this ride has special meaning to me.

This is the link to my donation page and would be grateful to anyone who makes a pledge!

My girlfriend's sister has MS, so this ride's for her.
Ironically, we all did some charity walk one year, it was 2 miles, her sister made it through just fine but her other sister, who doesn't have MS, was so out of shape that she ended up being pushed in a wheel chair to the finish line by the sister who had MS...

slvoid... that's pretty sad and ironic. Join the CS team if you have no team to join! VIP treatment =D

Also here's my donation page if anyone has any additional funds after you donate to Izengabe. Doing this for an ex-coworker...

I'm doing this ride for the 3rd year & I'm noticing there is a definite drop off in my sponsors. People that gave in Yr. 1 or 2 aren't giving in Yr. 3. Besides emailing friends, family & coworkers, does anyone have any other strategies (other than asking fellow riders for donations :p ) they want to share?

Credit goes to my team captains. I'm not sure what the exact ratio is but I'd bet that half the team is from outside CS, maybe even more. I'm no longer at CS but I still signed up for the team and recruited about 10 others to join the team.

Izengabe, how organized is the MS team? I've been pushing a few of my friends/fraternity brothers/roommate who work at Morgan to ride (or to even run in the Corporate Challenge) and it doesn't seem to register with them.

As for donations, it's been tough this year. Last year I raised over a grand without lifting a finger, mostly came from coworkers. I'm working at a very small shop not related to finance now and haven't been able to really give the event the PR it deserves. Just a handful of donations from fraternity brothers and college friends.

The easiest time I ever had raising donations was when I would hit up everyone on my company softball team during one of the after game booze fests. Dunno if that's an option.

I'll be doing it this year, riding with Team Mirell. Not sure if we're doing the 100 or the 60 mile route; three out of our six members had major accidents recently and probably shouldn't even be riding, much less riding 100 miles!

Fundraising...meh. I gotta say, there are few things I like less than asking family friends and coworkers for money. I'm participating in this ride in order to raise Awareness, not Money. As soon as I hit my minimum I stopped bugging people.

Yeah, I think I've raised plenty at this point. I'm not into harassing people into donating.

I'll be doing the 100, and have no chance of hanging with ChampSys for 100 miles. :D
