Well, the title gives it away:
When will the US WC team be announced, and who do you think will be on it?
Given the general strength of the riders in the US, I think a team comprised of George Hincapie, Chris Horner, Levi Leipheimer, Jason McCartney, Bobby Julich, and Christian Vande Velde would stack up pretty well against just about anyone.
Horner as the team captain, as he has the greatest ability both on the climbs and in a sprint out of all of them, something this course demands. If he isn't riding for someone else, which he always seems to be, he seems like a Stefan Schumacher type of racer to me; a dude who can do it all at a very high level.
