Foo - Been away: Foo'ers, catch me up....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just say, succinctly, what's been happenin' since 9/3. I'm sorry I was away so long, my dear Foo-friends. I had much to do, and still have some loose ends to tie up. But I've missed you all so much. :o
Someone, or, better, several, give me a synopsis of "As The Foo-World Turns." :D
Thanks, baybuhs. :)
I'm sorry, but Foo has given me such a short attention span, that I'd be hard-pressed to sum up the last day, let alone the last two weeks. Let's just say there have been thrills, chills, spills, and dill pickles.
Oh, there was the donkey incident, but I think it's best if we leave the past in the past on that one...

Cypress is in jail for trying to be a Cabana boy at Playboy mansion - BDG ratted him out - she did try to sell him but no one wanted him.
RyanF has already won the TDF 8 times in his dreams.
Explody Pup exploded on the scene briefly until Jsharr was able to get him back under control.
Tom accused P & R of being boring
Oh, and I am going through an identity crisis having permanently quit from doing software.
I am sure others can fill in more details.

You really don't want to know... Seems there might have been something about a purple thong too but that was too scary for words...

I can't quite remember if this happened before or after 9/3, but for some odd reason, the 50+ forumgoers decided to hate on Foo for a bit. Dauphin got pretty irritated and denounced any and all present or future affiliation with them.
Brian got a new puppy. The college students among us are back to school. Max has begun high school. Joe and Shadiyah are in the midst of wedding plans and new business starts. Donna has survived 3 audits at work in the last 4 weeks and still has The Penultimate - a Medicaid audit - to look forward to sometime this year. :( Oh, and there will be a BF t-shirt (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=338819) soon. That will be nice.

Nothing outlandish happened really. Here are a few simple and modest events:
Aluminum was declared better than steel.
The A&S section held a love fest and denounced VC then adopted "Adaptive Cycling."
The jubilation of the A&S situation did not last long as the part of the Commuting forum dissented and formed the Utility Cycling forum.
Danno is engaged.
Max lost a pet.
Now, which of the above are most believable.

Jon has a girlfriend. A real one. As in "innie, no outtie".
Minesbroken is going to Belize for his honeymoon
Lodi is doing a reverse X-trip and will come visit me this weekend
WTP is collecting bikes are are even cuter.
Stacey is also collecting bikes but flipping them for cash.
Timmy has a broken heart.
Redhouse has a broken something but we aren't sure what.
Cypress won Mayor of Foo and then for some reason turned it over to me.
Jsharr still has that nasty stale old fish.

We had an infestation of hippies, but explody mobilized his zombie army and chased them away. The place still smells like patchouli and rotten flesh though.
Hmm. That explains the several dozen tree-shaped air fresheners hanging from all of the ceiling fans...
Jsharr still has that nasty stale old fish.
Jsharr has explained many times that the various bass we have been seeing are clones, not the same fish. Geez, Siu .
Wow, I myself have been gone for awhile now and opening up this thread put me back on track!! :)

Siu started a perfectly sweet, innocent thread that turned into the Flame War From Hell.
Jon repainted his CF roadie Hot Pink with megenta, fuschia and plum-colored accents.
I personally killed 37 different threads by inserting posts averaging 732 lines in length, none of which say a damned thing but read like particular verbose and obscure doctoral dissertations.
Stacey was the voice of calm and reason in the face of wanton vigillante-ism.
Starting Sept. 4, average daily attendance in Foo has been dropping steadily.
The Mayor of Foo race ended up in the predictable mess as Cypress suddenly acquired about a bazillion votes, al cast at the exact same time and with all the subtlety of the old Daley machine in Chicago.
You know, same ol' same ol'.
Oh, and Michele Morrison came home.
Thank you for the the latest news! I have been very busy of late. I missed you all terribley!;) :)

Welcome back, Miss Vega. All well with you, I trust?
Traveling again, including a trip rather far north. If you should hear that story about the dogsled and about 200 pounds of cheese, kindly bear in mind that the tale might have been embellished in the telling. I do think, however, that they are letting a far too nervous and close-minded type of man into the Royal Canadian Mounted Police these days.
