(Cross Post from road cycling - hope that's ok)

So, I'm thinking leg warmers would be useful now that I have to ride early on the weekends, and temps are cold at the beginning of the ride, but warm up later. (I only have heavy tights). All the leg warmers I've seen just have ankle zippers meaning you have to stop to take them off. I really don't like stopping during my rides.

Doesn't anyone offer full length zipper warmers so you can remove them while riding ?? Running warmup pants have full zippers so they can be removed without taking off sneakers .... I would think cycling would have an equivalent. Perhaps they don't exist, because the zipper would interfere with leg movement & be uncomfortable ?? Thoughts ??

They may exist but I've never seen them. Likely the zipper would rub sores on your legs if they were running down the length of your leg through the knee area.

If you have good bike skills you should be able to take off regular leg warmers without stopping though it is a little bit dangerous. Perhaps you will want to try messenger pants. They are a loose fitting below knee length riding pants that are warmer than regular bike shorts but still relatively cool since the lower leg is exposed.
