I only know a little bit about bikes, and it seems the archives on Bianchi's site is no longer up. I inherited this bike and would appreciate any information you might know about it (price, history, reviews, etc.). Hope you enjoy the pictures. Thanks!

I dont know anything about it other than it is one damn sexy bike.
I'd hit that twice and call her back the next day...
If it fits you have a jewel. You can ride with cross tires or swap out with regular road tires. Probably a little too heavy for competitive racing...but who cares.
Is it a 8 or 9 spd rear cassette? Probably it sold for around $1200 to $1500 when new. Maybe from the mid to late 90's. I like the trick cable tensioner on the top tube.

I'm going out on a limb and saying it isn't stock. Deore XT rear hub with Campy Racing T derailleur isn't stock Bianchi. It was changed somewhere along the way. If the spacing in the rear is a 135mm stock, it was probably a Shimano bike new. Still, it looks great. Good luck
Tim
You may want to fix that front QR before you ride... (looks like the rear is installed wrong too)
And i'd totally ride the crap out of that bike
I'd also attach the front brake ;)
Probably a little too heavy for competitive racing...Pish posh.
You might want to ask about this bike over in the Classic & Vintage forum.
I have a very similar bike- though mine is labeled "chromo lite"
Reparto corse means "racing department". it was sold as a frame only, and the frame alone retailed for $800 (later $600 ). they were made until the aprox. early 2000s- I had a cracked Axis for warranty and requested one of the left-over steel ones (I had heard some were still lurkng around). The TIG welding (no lugs at the joints) indicate that the frame is fairly recent.
the geomety on mine was listed as being the same as the Axis, and probably the cross concept. (i'd have to compare)
there is absolutely no reason you couldn't race that bike in CX- I use mine as a pit bike. the only thing I don't really care for is it could use a bit more mud clearance on the fork- I got the carbon fork from the cross concept. the original steel style may be better in that regard.
have fun! I love that bike...

ps I might have a screen shot of the info page from bianchi- if you want me to hunt around, send me a message with an email address.

Was this one of Bob Babbit's bikes?
how sad to sell such a beautiful bike that you inherited. boo money. yay bikes!
I was looking for some more information on my bike and came across this thread. I think the bike is the same one pictured. There were some updates made before I got it and since, but it sure looks like it could be the same one.
Anyway, anyone have any additional information about it? Thanks, Rob.
