I like Topeak pumps (among other Topeak products). I have the Digital Twister (http://www.topeak.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/Store/twister.html?L+scstore+ykkp1670ff007e00+1060407682). Admittedly it's a bit pricey at $70 but it has all the doo-dads. For something a little less frivolous, the Joe Blow Deluxe (http://www.topeak.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/Store/joeblowdel.html?L+scstore+ykkp1670ff007e00+1060407682) retails for $50. The base model Joe Blow Sport (http://www.topeak.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/Store/joeblosport.html?L+scstore+ykkp1670ff007e00+1060407682) will also do the job nicely with no fuss or fanfare but lacks the SmartHead (has TwinHead instead). This just means you need to make sure to use the appropriate head for the valve type as opposed to the SmartHead equipped pumps which figures it out internally.

Check some online sites. I've also seen the Digital Twister for as low as $50 before.

I've been using the Topeak Joe Blow Sport for 2 years now and it's never given me any problems. Easy to read pressure gauge and an easy to use head - one side for presta, one for shrader. I think I paid about $30 for it.

Hi,
I recently bought a Blackburn Track Pump Pro. I love it. Sometimes two strokes, and the tire will be full.It has a big gauge that sits high up, with a big arrow you can put on the exact pressure you want. It ain't reasonably priced, but it works slicker than ****.

Thanks. Yeah I was hoping to keep it under $50 and it seems like I'll be able to do that.

Nashbar's house brand is about $24, and it works very well. It accepts both presta and schrader valves in the same chuck.

I don't like Topeak stuff. I've had a Blackburn Track Pump Pro (or something like that) for several years and haven't had a problem. It works great.

I have a Blackburn floor pump with a gaguge and a Topeak smart gauge to validate tire pressure. I get different readings---When the Blackburn reads 120psi, the Topeak reads 100psi.

I believe I am using the pump correctly, but tend to agree with the Topeak smart gauge.

Any thoughts?

I have a Joe Blow Deluxe that is currently 5 years old. neer had any problems with it. I also like Innovations pumps very well made, rebuildable most have a lifetime warranty.

Have used a Zefal Doubleshot for ten years, still works like new. Pumps superfast, on both strokes. Is it still made? Zefal has a similar looking pump in the Nashbar catalog, i forget what they call it, which also appears to be a doublestroker. Not the cheapest but you'll probably never need another one or even a repair.

I have a Topeak Joe Blow and a Joe Blow Sport and have never had any problems. The Joe Blow is 5 years old, the Sport is about 2 years old.
Both super easy to use and to get to desired pressures.

Very happy with the Blackburn Track Pro Pump. Whether I'm pumping air in my mtn bike tires or my ride bike tires, its an effortless task.

I checked www.zefal.com & the current version of the Doubleshot is called (for some unknown reason) the Alaskan (maybe because Alaska's a big state....).

It has a wider base than the original Doubleshot, whose tendency to tip over when not being used was my only complaint about it. I don't know the suggested retail on the Alaskan, but as always, shop around. This baby cuts your pumping effort in half, & may well be the last floor pump you ever buy.

I have a SKS workshop pump and have used it for several years with no problems plus it is totally rebuildable.
It cost me £40 so i am unsure what that would be in dollars
but i highly recommen it

I also bought a Park Tools pump from Performance (the PFP-2 Professional). I used a 20% off Coupon, and saved about $13 on it. Works great!
