anyway, im looking for a pair to help bridge my clothing gap between shorts and cold weather. warmers the best option or just go for full pants? this time of year in nj it tends to be much cooler mornings then warms in the day. with the success im having with my arm warmers figured this was a good option.
next question is which kind of leg warmers should i pick up? been browsing some but was curious what everyone thought. any reviews?

I have knee warmers, leg warmers and several pairs of pants (some with and some sans chamois). You really need a variey of stuff like this, as every day is a bit different in terms of weather conditions. You'll get better at picking out WHICH stuff to wear on a given day.
In terms of brands, I've had great luck with PI leg/arm warmers.

I just use a pair of light running tights pulled over regular padded shorts. I can pull'em off and stuff'em into a jersey pocket if it gets too warm.
You want leg warmers when it gets below 65 degrees Fahrenheit to protect your knees. DeFeet are inexpensive and keep you warm and stay put. Depending whether you ride all winter or stop when it gets too cold and how warm blooded you are will determine if you need tights. Leg warmers suffice down to 40 degrees for me and then I put my tights on over my regular shorts. My crotch never gets cold but some people have to switch to tights sooner for that reason.
I have PI leg warmers and arm warmers. Decent stuff. Though I am wondering if I should have tried voler warmers. Different colors and I wear their shorts.
Anyhow, for me 65F is way too warm for warmers. I will literally overheat.
Low 60s to 60F the arm warmers go on. Mid 50s the leg warmers go one.
Around 40 or 45 I put a pair of lite tights on over the warmers.
Sub 40F both the warmers and the lite tights go off and on goes a heavy pair of performance tights.
Sub 20F I either add wind pants over the tights or last year I started adding poly long john bottoms under the tights.
Get as many options as you can afford and then experiment. Everyone's tolerances and preferences are different.
