Foo - Getting grease stains out of jerseys

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I thought Id pass on this great discovery.
While lifting my bike onto the top of my indoor bike rack, I got a chainring mark on the white part of my
Scarface jersey. I wasnt too happy about that, but I figured I better cope with it since I thought it
was permanent. I found on a webpage about cleaning stains that a simple mixture of 1 Tablespoon of
salt and 4 Tablespoons of rubbing alcohol will get most of the stain out if you rub the mixture on the
spot with a rag. Even after the stained jersey going in the wash several times beforehand, this mixture
actually worked!

Thanks for passin' that on. I've just printed that out, and put it in my laundry room!

[This is the first thread I've seen today that gave me the "Quick Reply" box and not just code or a cut-off page, probably because I opened it before anyone had responded.]
