I have beenhaving problems with my chain becoming loose and whilst riding the chain coming off causing me to fall off :D does anybody have any tips or ideas for making my chain tighter ive tried pulling the back wheel back and re-tightening the bolts, would chain tensioners work?

yup, you need tensioners.

You're stupid, 90% of the time you don't need chain tensioners, they just make things easier.

Just pull the wheel back, and crank down harder on the bolts. If you have to sand off the paint on the dropouts so the axle nut can get a better grip.

You never really actually need chain tensioners. They make the process easier, but it isn't anything near a necessity.

shortening up your chain would be good if you have the resources. Then you don't need to run anything super tight and your chain won't fall off.

otherwise just tighten those nuts down like a manly man.

Grinding on the left side=hell without a tensioner.

I disagree. I grind left and have no problems. Just crank that axle nut good and tight.

I also have problems with that. No matter how hard the nuts are cranked down, they always come loose.

also i had recently sprayed my frame, could this have anything to do with the nuts not tightening enough to keep the wheel in place?

try to get your wheel where you want it and then get a torque wrench and tighten it as much as you can.
