Hello Everyone,
This is my first post but I've been lurking for a while. I wanted to let everyone know that KHS has updated the Milano. The picutre on the website is now outdated. My wife and I just picked up our first tandem on Friday. The new Milano has a silver and grey paint sceme, the fork now has disc brake tabs, the front hub is disc brake ready, the front derailer is now Tiagra (not sora), it now has a Kalloy SP-380 rear seat post, those are about the only differences I could detect. Best part is that the price is still the same as what is on the web site. It still only comes in the two sizes, we ordered the small size and it weighed in at 40 lbs (my scale is only +- .5 lbs). There is no noticable frame flex with our 355 lbs. team. Anyway we are extremely happy with our purchase. I believe it the best value for an entry level tandem in the US. Its no Cannondale or CoMotion, but for a sub $2000 tandem its a pretty good bike.

It's a good investment in your health . . . no matter what the price!
And a 40-lbs tandem is only 20-lbs each!

congratulations on your new tandem. khs makes a nice tandem. my wife and i have had our khs comp for almost four years and it has been great. i would have loved to get a co-motion, but i would still be saving , instead of riding. hope you enjoy your new tandem.

We've been quite pleased with our 2000 Tandemania Comp, which weighs at least 5 pounds more, according to specs.

I think KHS tandems are great especially considering the money you spend. We have two an aelite and a comp, both are good. Enjoy. Maybe I should buy the Milano and have a complete set.

Just kiding we bit the bullet and bought a DaVinci...
