I was wondering how altering the rake of a fork will alter the ride of the bike. I have gotten conflicting answers from my LBS. My gut says that a larger fork rake will increase stability.
Just incase anyone is wondering, I ride a 53cm Bianchi Campione with a 45mm rake on the fork. This question mostly concerns moving to a 43mm rake. Thanks for your replies.
The change will be indistinguishable from a rake point of view. I doubt you notice much change in handling unless there is a big change in material parameters such as stiffness. I presume your upgrade involves carbon?

Your 2mm diff in rake is so insignificant......there will be other variables affecting stability. I have two nearly identical Cinelli forks with a rake diff of 10mm. I've used them on the same track frame on the road and I can say that the fork will the lesser rake was slightly twitchier. But I think on a road frame with relaxed angles, even a 10mm diff may not be as noticable.......2mm is certainly not gonna make a diff.

Your ride doesn't have a thing to do with the rake of the fork. Rake only affects handling and stability. A larger rake value will result in decreased stability at speed. Reducing your rake by 2mm will bring your front wheel a bit further back. If you have toe overlap now, it will be worse with the new fork.
