Im new to Mountain Biking and have recently become very interested in the wide spectrum of components and accessories available, in doing alot of online research I stumbled on this frame that doesn't appear to fall into any of the catagories I've seen yet. Well if you're interested take a look, if you could tell me anything about the type of frame it is and what it might be used for I'd appreciate it.

It is a road or triathlon type bike, not a mountain bike.

It is a road bike, but a specialist time-trialling one. Some triatheletes used them, but cycling in a pack or on a mountain stage, this design was not so advantageous. It gave the advantage on solo time trials, where aerodynamics counted for much more.

This monocoque carbon style of frame has been banned by the UCI which controls international racing events.

As Michael says, this is really a Time Trialing bike.

If you're into that sort of thing, then I would assume it would be pretty much top of the range.

MichealW is right. It is probably very light, and very aerodynamically designed.
