Utility Cycling - Trike lust :)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I happened to see a little poster up on one of the boards at my college advertising a Worksman trike for sale. 3 speed internal hub, cargo capacity galore, and only $395 (Cdn). Sooooooo tempted! But if I bring another bike-like object home I might be in trouble :) Besides, I don't have anywhere to park it... but I hope it finds a really good home!

Go for it. What's the worst that can happen? And you would still have the trike.;):D

I own a Worksman PAV trike w/3sp and use it everyday for urban
duty. I also own 3 2 wheelers that I built up and are VERY special
to me. I like the trike so much that if forced to sell any cycles the
2 wheelers are.......toast!!

I'm just going to encourage someone I know to buy it, and then I can play with it :D
(On further consideration, too, I realized that the bridge I have to take across Glenmore Reservoir has 2 sets of bollards that are probably too narrow to let the trike through - and there's no other way across that body of water! Adding a 15-20km loop doesn't sound too practical...)
Besides, I just ordered an Xtracycle kit!

Might be a tad challenging to live in it :)

I know how that goes, there's one on craigslist near me that is posted about once a month. The guy's dropped it from $450 down to $295 and it's incredibly hard not to call him.

I think the joy of riding that bike for twenty minutes on a hockey rink would justify its purchase twice. :)
