Looking to test out some recumbents

I'm kinda getting interested in recumbents. I always heard they were slower than DFs, so I dismissed them. Since learning the truth, though, I've started to open my mind to them. Also, since trying to go car-free, my butt has started to hurt a lot.
Can anyone recommend a shop that would allow me to test out a couple of different model, either in the Vegas or LA area?
