I was planning to do a mod on a 16 inch bike.... but not enough time to really do it ...
I do have a 16 inch wheel completely built up with a Nexus redband 8 speed hub, also I have gearshifter for the hub.... its all complete and is a professional built wheel ( from Harris )

it has a 305 rim ( for something like a 16 x 2.00 tire or thinner tire like a 20 x 1.5 )
OLD ( over locknut dimension is 132 mm ) will fit 130 mm frame spacing

Hi, thanks for the information Brakemeister. I trying to track down the specs on the Brompton frame and I don't speak wrench, so is that a yes? or a conditional yes? Regards, Andy

No ... not even close. Brompton dropout spacing is something in the ballpark of 112-116 mm. Maybe 120.

And I suspect the brakes will have trouble with the smaller rim, too.
