Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was looking at kestrel's website and for the build up groups the will put on a bike include ultegra, ultegra deluxe, dura ace, dura ace deluxe. What are these deluxe groups? Do they shine more? Ive never heard of them anywhere else. Anybody know what they are?
I did a search on-line, basicaly the difference I could see is the wheels that come with the bike an the handlebars. The dura-Ace comes with Velomax wheels, while the "deluxe" comes with Spynergy wheels.. and the bars on the "deluxe" where the EMS carbon pro bars.

'Deluxe' usually refers to upgrades of non-groupo peripheral components.
YEs thats correct,
In effect an upgraded 'finishing kit' spec.
Groupset now usually only refers to shifters, drivetrain incl cranks and mechs as std gruppo.
gruppo with std finishing kit will usually include hubs from same group with Mavic Open Pro rims or similar quality, same group seat pin if applicable, and mid range stems and bars.
Deluxe Finish ing kit with usually have as upgrades,
Wheelset ie Bontrager, Mavic, Spinergy etc.
lightweight higher cost seat pin, bars and stems
