Introductions - good morning from SoCal

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Welcome Cathy, I'm way further South in North County, SD. Great to hear to got on the road. I just got my first MTB recently. Been on the road before that. On the lower end of the budget line, have your friend check out the Specialized Allez. I really like that bike. Or she can check out some of their women specific models. Giant also has some nice women specific bikes - OCR AO W
hey kiteboarder...thanks for the reco!

Welcome Cathy. Also introduce yourself in the So Cal regional sub-forum. You'll find a few Ridazz folks there. :)

Hey, neighbor. :)
We live in the same neck of the woods. I'd be up for a casual, social ride around the 'hood (weekdays are best for me).
I haven't done a MR ride yet, but have been keeping an eye on their calendar. They do some rides out our way; perhaps we will meet up on one, if not sooner.
Cheers ~
Oh, yeah, per your invite: I'm a lady. Well, female, at any rate! ;)

Romper Room?
Maybe a few more Ridazz are just what that place needs.
Welcome to the new from a dirtbag mountain biker, stuck in the middle of paved paradise.

Be sure to hook up with Allez, she's very cool. Me...I'm on the other side of LA from you, but I do make it over to the Westside now and then.

Hey catty. I got a HARO Sonix LT. Great bike! Well spec'd too. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'm still working on beating the learning curve. I've got all kinds of cut, gashes, chain-ring bites and scrapes all over my legs! Plus, I'm fit from the road biking, but it takes a whole different kind of "fit" to mountain bike!
Maybe...the Ridazzs sound like pretty cool folks to me :) .

hey east hill....thanks for the warm welcome!
i was just up in your corner of the country over labor day weekend. hit mt st helens and galbraith mtn with a friend. it's SO beautiful & lush up there. it's like someone dumped buckets of green on your highways! and then mt rainier in the distance...*swoon*! even got to see a bit of portland and vancouver (wa) due to a disc brake emergency (thank god for bike gallery!).
if i had to move, it would def be up to seattle. though the sunny & perfect 72 degrees i experience every frickin day here in santa monica would be tough to give up. :D
