So some of you may have heard of bicycle polo, some of you may not. Here in Chicago, we're stepping up our game and building a loaner fleet so people can try our fabulous sport without fear for their expensive bicycles. I've been accumulating parts and bikes to build up, and I've got a fair number of nearly complete bikes, but the most important, most frequently damaged parts of a polo bike are the wheels, and those I'm short on. My plan is to build as many wheels as I possibly can, for as cheap as I can, to make this sustainable. What I'm looking for are any and all 26" rims/wheels you can give us or sell cheap ($5-10 ideally, more if it's worth it).
This is really an excellent cause for you to donate your beat but not dead wheels and rims to, we'll give them a good home and use them for as long as they can possibly be used, and when they die, they'll be rebuilt if at all possible.
