Proof that I at least got it dirty. I actually haven't ridden my road bike since getting it since I'm trying to get accustomed to it.

One particularly beautiful member gave me the Red Baron. He still needs a new saddle and to be tuned up, but I have ridden him once in my neighborhood. I like him! He's headed to a fire road soon as I've promised Herb to finally do it and get out there. Maybe, the beatiful member will join us (could I get so lucky...oh, and she knows who she is :)):

And that pump is still on the bike but must be removed and returned to the proper owner :o

In order from top to bottom:

The Bookcliffs in Colorado

The Grand Mesa in Colorado

13,000 ft near Telluride, Colorado

Sedona, Arizona

I only took them there to take photos of them. I don't really ride, but am a forum hound who pretends to ride.

All your mtb's have toeclips rather than spd types. You ride offroad with toeclips?

Fully rigid Dave? Didn't know you were such a purist.I bought it in 2000 for CAD$350 or so. At the time, $350 is a LOT of money (well, it still is but my perception of bike prices has changed for the worse).

I was thinking of adding a susp fork; but the frame is not susp corrected and that means getting a frame as well. At the end, since I don't really ride it often now, I decided to just pick up better biking skills than play bike mechanic (although learning how to assemble the bike back together was really fun). :p

This bike is like an extension of my body on the trail. We work together like a team, it just feels perfect. There is very little I would change if I cared to spend the money on it. Unfortunately it doesn't get ridden that much. I am finding riding my road bike is challenging me more these days. It's all a matter of perception.

James... that photo doesn't look real! It is soooo beautiful. All the more reason to ride MTB - road can't match the scenary. Mtblurkr recognize the location - the bike rack, 4 Corners, Chino Hills; some time ago when there was still some green.
