Friday night after work I decided to go for a long ride rather than my usual 6 mile, one way trip. I decided to climb Fillmore hill, ride over to 30'th street to Garden of the Gods and then back south on 30'th to Colorado. I then followed Colorado through Old Colorado City, through downtown and finally back home. About 16 miles (not much for some of you guys, but an accomplishment for me). At any rate, Fillmore Hill is almost a mile of pure ugliness and torture but I beat the bastard! I did not have to get off and walk or stop, except where there is a traffic light over I-25. If anyone from Colorado Springs is reading this, I'm talking about the big hill on Fillmore just west of I-25, try it some time. It hurts, but is well worth it, it felt great!

Just keep an eye on it, they're sneaky things, my local one gets steeper some mornings just to catch me out ;)
