Hey all,

I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. Im from Barrie, Canada (1 hour north of Toronto) and I have taken a strong interest in mountain biking.

I'm riding a 21 speed Univega mountain bike with a duallie suspension but want to upgrade to something better this winter.

Hello Flying Fish, what are you looking at for the upgrade?

Welcome to BF!

I've been doing some research and my choice thus far is for a good quality hardtail bike. I prefer riding trail XC/Trail category (the DH stuff is too crazy for my skillset).

My brother has a couple of nice KHS bikes that I have been able to borrow and they both blow my POS Univega away. I'm still doing some research as I want to explore the used bike market too,

I've heard that KHS is nice...not that I have any personal experience. My husband's not fond of the downhill thing either, so we usually stick to XC/trails as well. He's not nearly as crazy as I am :) .
