In a small town, a law was passed. There is only one barber in the town.
The town council has decreed that every man in town has to be clean shaven. No facial hair of any kind is allowed. The only barber in town must, under penalty of law, shave the face of all men who do not shave themselves, and ONLY those men. As a man, you have two choices:
Shave yourself
Get shaved by barber.

If a preacher wants to shave himself, he will do so. The barber will not be allowed to shave the preacher, because hte preacher is willingly going to shave himself.

Who shaves the barber?

There was an amendment on that law not long ago. The barber is a prepubescent boy. Or a chick.

If the Barber is male, then as a male he can decide to not shave himself, but then as a barber he must shave his person, since that person is not choosing to shave himself.

Basically it's do it by choice or do it by requirement, either way it's getting done.

What if the barber chooses to use a lighter and singe off his facial hair, assuming the barber is male? Are methods of hair removal not involving inclined planes covered under this law? Either way, it was poorly written.

If God can do anything, can she make a rock so big that she can't move it?

Why can't the barber shave himself?

No facial hair? They have to get rid of the eyebrows??? :P

(I know that's not the standard definition...)

Are all the women required to be clean shaven?

Why can't the barber shave himself? It's a logical paradox. There are two and only two disjoint sets of men in the town: one group who shave themselves, and one group who are shaved by the barber. All men are required to be clean-shaven, and thus fall into one and only one of those two groups. If the barber is a man, he would have to fall into both groups; both shaving himself and being shaved by the barber...but that's not allowed by the statement of the conditions. The only way out of the predicament is for the barber to fall into neither group, and that's possible if and only if the barber is not a man.

If the barber doesn't want to shave himself he goes to the next town and let the barber there shave him.

I so hate to think inside the box.

I so hate to think inside the box.Ah, but that violates the rules. "The only barber in town must, under penalty of law, shave the face of all men who do not shave themselves, and ONLY those men." Thinking outside the box is OK only if you stay inside the rules.

The rules say nothing about people not leaving town. What happens in town happens in town, what happens outside of town is no ones business. :D

The barber says 'f*ck this stupid rule' and moves to another town where nobody gives a sh*t and the local council aren't facial hair nazi's.

For lawbreakers in that loopy town, the only cop is bearded and locked in the only jail cell. There are no keys because the only locksmith broke some other asinine law...

Brothers from a different mother.

Or maybe just maybe, the convict has an innie instead of an outie down there.

And I believe I said that, "The convict has an innie down there instead of an outie"

Generally speaking, girls have the innies, not boys.
