I ride a 2005 Trek 5000, which I thoroughly enjoy. I have been riding for about 3 years and sort of fit the profile of the mid 30's male trying to keep his physique and good looks for as long as possible. I ride 3 times a week, with a bunch, in the early morning, all through the year. Saturdays we usually meander North into the hilly country and clock up around 90 - 100km, the company and scenery is great, time seems to fly by and it's incredibly addictive.
I got into cycling via Triathlons at the local Manawatu Triathlon Club. I regularly compete in Triathlons and I have entered the Tauranga Half Ironman set down for the 4th of January.
I'm married and have two kids, my wife is very good about letting me train, but I have to balance work, home, and training carefully. Early mornings and lunchtimes are good for not getting in the way of home or work.
Spring is here and it's been brilliant for riding, I can't wait for the events to start rolling around!

Cheers
