How about the fourth Saturday of October as well. So how about October 27 then? Does any of our Southern Folk want it? If not I can host and figure up a nice little route. Think we can kick it up to 50 miles? ;)

I am good for October 27th, anywhere.

Since we're basically running out of places to go where people can "host" the ride, we might have to start thinking other places... like Nate was talking about yesterday, maybe riding out around La Grange, the farm country out east, or Highway 6 down to Galveston. If anyone has a ride they've wanted to do but haven't had the chance yet, this seems like a good opportunity.

I'll check my calendar for that day. But just an FYI the Houston Moonlight Ramble (http://www.bikehouston.org/) is that night...errr at 2am on the 28th.

Good point Mike. The only other weekend I'm free is the 20th/21st, if I don't do the Bike around the Bay. I'm out of town the weekend of the 6th and the 13th.

I forgot the Moonlight Ramble. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm working on a Giddings route. As for a South route, y'all like stop lights?

I prefer to just keep going... but any ride is a ride ;)

Maybe we should plan for the third ride to be in November? October seems kind of full and we have already burned one weekend (this one coming up).

I plan on going for a long ride on October 13 (next Saturday) if anyone wants to join me. I'll post details up after I get back from church today.

This route is 47.1 miles, would start at my house in West Houston and ride to Katy, Brookshire, and then just Southeast of Moanaville before heading east back towards West Houston. Anyone interested?

I'm out the 13th, still haven't decided on the 20th-21st bike around the bay, and we're doing the moonlight ramble on the next weekend. So i think waiting until November would be a good idea.

I have family in town and some other things going on, so I probably won't ride sat. morning the 13th.
20th-21st is a possibility for a decent ride though.

dr. nate

I could do the 21st.

I don't think i'm doing bike around the bay, i have lacrosse practice on sunday that i'd like to attend on the 20th. So i could ride on the 21st. (we are talking october here, right?)

I've got a route from that "Cycling in Houston" book I showed y'all at my place, it starts in San Felipe and goes through Stephen F. Austin State Park. It wouldn't be too long of a car ride for you in Katy, and I'm willing to make the trip. It is 55 miles, so it's a bit longer than our past rides, but the weather should be cooler. I'll email you the map. Let me know if you're willing to do it, and I'll work on a cue sheet and rest stops.
