Northern California - First century in 18 years

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Woo Hoo! I did it. A little earlier than expected but I rode 100.2 miles today... I feel really good too other than my neck has a really nagging kink in it. I should have turned around in Davis at 35 miles but I had a wild hair somewhere... Turned around in an orchard north of Woodland at the 50.01 mark. Haven't ridden this far since I was 17. And I only broke 100 miles on that occasion (about 115).
Here's to many more of these.
On that note... I just finished octoberfest #2... :p
Congratulations on completing your century! I haven't done one in almost 20 years. Before I got married, my gf and I use to ride quite a bit. Well those twenty years have taken its toll on us! Small hills are now mountains! We are trying to get back into shape and will probably be doing the Foxy Fall metric century in Oct.

Congrats on that century! Isn't that a great feeling?
Knubby, I like your avatar. Look for cgallagh and me on our Co-Mo; we're signed up for FFC, too. We'll be wearing our NorCal jerseys, unless the 50+ order arrives before then.
Maybe Foxy's can be another Bike Forums ride...?
