So I couldn't get up this morning for the coastal century, I was out til 1am for the Steve Miller & Doobie Bros concert at Shoreline - so I decided to punish myself and ride over to Saratoga and up bohlman rd.
This was my first time up it and I'm really happy with myself for making it to the top. The views and the atmosphere at the top were well worth the climb, I actually enjoyed mysefl quite a bit and plan to do this ride more often.
Here's a couple of phone pics:
There was an awesome view of downtown SJ and the valley from up there.

The road got so steep at times that it actually had me laughing out loud.. look how steep the road gets on the right of this picture:

I don't have any pics of on-orbit, but the climb to the summit of that road is insane.. it's like a wall that never ends.
After that it's a pretty mellow ride, about two miles of rolling hills, some steep stuff but after on-orbit it felt like it was flat.
This is the pic of the open space connecter to Montevina:

Oh, and there was an older gentleman on a bike that was doing repeats up Bohlman-on orbit
I saw him on my way up and he was coming down, then as I was resting at the top of on-orbit, he caught up and then turned around. Then on my decent I saw him going back up!!!
