Edit: Adrenalin.

Hey guys. I wanted to share some pics from the 24 Hours of Adrenaline race I participated in. I only have a couple of pics from my camera. BUT they are of me sporting the BF jersey for my first stint, oh and that was my first time riding at night or on that trail!

I was on a 9 man team consisting of coworkers. We were sponsored by work (entry fee, coffee, platicware and zip-ties). This is our first attempt at a 24 hour mountain bike race. About 3-4 of us actually ride on a regular basis. One coworker rode a $100 wal-mart bike, he was the greenest of all. The Wal-Mart rider is a very very avid runner, so he is very fit, just never really gone MTBing. Over all we did pretty well as a 'corporate team'. I think we finished 20 out of 27 (remember first try with a huge range of riding experiences).

Here are the three I have, I will post some of the other team pics as I get them.

If anyone else was at this event please post and share some stories.

Waiting for the hand off.

Well there is an 8 hour solo race and the 24 hour solo race. The winner of the mens 24 hour solo did 20 laps. My team of 9 did 19 laps.... so theres an idea of how strong ya gotta be. And for the ladies, the winner this year did 15 laps in 24 hours.

It was a lot of fun. My only bi*** is that I wish I had trained a lot more and wish our team would have been more organized as far as food and drinks. We had plenty of food but it wasn't planned, we just happen to have enough stuff for everyone. To the credit of our capt. and co capt. it all went very smooth considering we all had one month to plan and "train"

How many miles was each lap?

They told us 9 miles but my computer was telling me about 9.5 miles. It was a good ride. if anyone feels like a good ride I would check out the trail.... it is quite a drive from the OC-LA area.... but I am kinda sad I couldn't ride it more than two times.
