General Cycling Discussion - Should I trash or sell these wheels???

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm currently updating a Fuji Team bike I bought used off of ebay. I have about a week left before I'm finished and one of the things I changed was the wheelset. I put a set of Mavics CXP21's with Ultegra hubs on it with new Michelin Pro Races. The wheelset I took off seems to be the original. They are not in that bad of shape as they could be cleaned up and used. The bearings seem to roll fine and it has a Suntour 6 speed Freewheel that is also in good shape. The rim tape (cloth w/ black vinyl material) is also in good condition.I'm not sure of the brand though, the hub has SE and below it Sansin and then Japan. The QR skewers have Sunshine on the handle. Should I even bother cleaning these and trying to sell them or would it be a lost cause??? I don't know of many people who would need these dinosaurs. I just sent Fuji an e-mail with my serial number of my bike to see what year it was made in. I'm sure that's a lost cause. Thanks
Might as well kill two birds with one stone. I also have a 26.6 Sugino seatpost, seems hard to find, and a Velo seat. Should I try selling these as well????
Strip the bike and sell what you can- why not use the bicyclebid.com website and see what you can get? ;)

The bike is already stripped and rebuilt minus the cassette I received 30 minutes ago. I have thought about selling the parts on bicyclebid, but I have to clean them up, take pictures and if they sell then I have to ship them. I guess what I'm trying to ask is whether or not I will make enough out of them for the trouble and time?? I have searched ebay for the name and nothing. I was hoping for someone here to know of the brand name and can tell me if they are trash or worth selling. Not sure if there is a need for older wheels like this.
hmmmm... it wouldn't hurt to try selling them anyway for now. The person who buys the wheels would pay for shipping and handling charges, so the trouble and time would certainly be compensated.
You could do a general internet search on the wheels to see what other people are saying about the wheels- it would take a lot of research, but it could be worth your time to check.
I say go for it.

A decent SunTour freewheel alone can bring $25-$40 on Ebay.
