Foo - Engineering Management - an Oxymoron?

Where I work the good ol boys engineers' club just about guarantees that you will eventually be promoted to a mid-manager position if you stick around long enough, maybe even faster if you screw up one or more big dollar projects.

Pretty Ugly

Just concentrating on those two.

In Pretty Ugly, the Pretty is used in a manner that implies scale, meaning on the fair end of, as in very ugly.

And in Ice-cold Water, at 32F, it's very possible to have water and ice at the exact same temperature. At stp, ice-cold water would imply water that is chilled down to near 32F if not cooler.

if anyone tries to say wicked awesome (or whatever other word you choose to put after wicked) there will be words.

and slvoid, that's not even stepping into the realm of water with additives in it (ie: salt) which can decrease it's freezing point. Ice-cold itself is a non-specific term.
