ya, have you ever seen a ski bike? both wheels are replaced with skis, and no brakes. if your local ski hill/mountain will let you, you can ride them down and get goin pretty fast, and to stop, you turn and slide, like with skis on your feet.

has anyone tried 4X like this? A new sport may have just been born! well, kinda...

With a track that long in the rear, I'm sure you'd have enough braking power. At least as much as you're going to get on snow...

Since you never see a shot longer than 2 seconds, I'd bet that thing works very poorly. I can't imagine pedaling that on level ground. I would think it is unstable at speed

You are thinking downhill only, this is for xc too. I find it interesting, I think it could be a lot of fun.

That's the issue I've been wondering about. I ride winters, and the idea of that bike appeals to me. But I would want to ride it on the local forest roads and snowmobile trail system, and that means it'd need to stay up and ridable for more than two seconds. Is it the sort of thing I could go for, say, a 30-minute ride on around town? I'd really like to know.
