Folding Bikes - Updated Classic DaHon

I got ahold of Sidetrack in Seattle and they shipped lightening fast! Here is a shot of my classic DaHon with the Butt Buddy installed. Horrible name, but I think it is pretty cool. I just installed this evening, so I will have to see how it does. Anyway, I wanted to share.

It rides better now that I have a new hub. It is a bit wobbly, and I am working on ideas to improve that. I have not been able to properly test the new suspension piece under the seat, but will this week. I only ride a short distance to work and back (2 miles each way), so no long trips yet.

Thank you very much, I have found it online and will most likey order it. $22 is not bad. I am a little confused as to how it works, it doesn't seem have any springs for shock absorbers. Have you ridden enough to tell us how the Butt Buddy works?

@ OP, just wondering, would you say the butbuddy/decent saddle combination is in any way better than a Sprung Brooks (say the Flyer)...? Of course the Brooks would cost a bit more (though they are cheap where i live).... One thing i like about the BB is that it add a lot of height to the seatpost which is nice for folder but i wonder about the durability, in particular about the "rails".

As for the working of the BB, i am guessing the springing action is based on the elastomers at the back and to a lesser degree the curved "rails". The elastomer compresses when one hits a bump and hence gives suspension/provides modulation. The exact same principle as has been used on the English Moulton and Brompton folding bikes for more than 25 years actually,... except that with those bikes it is build into the frame/design and is quite a bit more refined.

It works ok. I got the impression that the rubber pieces are there just for a bit of dampening. I find it impossible to compress either elastomer. It seems to me that there is flex in the metal top which helps smooth some bumps.
