Great Lakes - Meet Phil Liggett in Madison, Wisconsin!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Greetings, fellow cyclists,

The Saris Cycling Group, home of Powertaps and CycleOps trainers, is hosting the Fourth Annual Saris Gala Fundraiser for the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin on Thursday, October 18. Our special guest is the legendary voice of professional cycling Phil Liggett!!

For $30 contribution to the Bicycle Federation, you can eat and drink to your heart's (and stomach's) content, participate in great games like Bicycle Hold-em Poker, Test Your Cycling Power and Pedal Blend Your Own Margarita, where you can mix a cocktail while dancing on the pedals in a most immodest way.

But wait, there's more!

You can also participate in the silent auction, with over $30,000 over great merchandise (like those high-end wheel sets that are currently sitting in my office) and a raffle entry for our grand prize, a fully-supported luxury bicycle tour for two from Trek Travel valued at over $4000!!!

Ah yes...did I mention that Phil Liggett, the legendary voice of cycling, will be entertaining the crowd with his special brand of humor and cycling insight?

A limited number of VIP tickets are also available. You too can enjoy a sit-down reception with Phil with a select number of friends.

Still not convinced? Your ticket goes to benefit the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin - the only organization whose sole mission is to make Wisconsin a great state to ride, race and commute on a bike.

Online registration is now available. Please click here (http://www.bfw.org) for more details and registration.

See you there!!

Thanks for the heads up! I gotta go, if only to check out the bike-powered margarita machine!

Got a more direct link? I'm not finding it. Google shows the same announcement in a couple places, but that's it.
