I recently acquired a '79 Super Grand Prix and '81 what I'm guessing to be a Super Course frames. I really wish I had snapped some photos before I left them 3 hrs away from school. I'm hoping to have at least the Super Course built into a fixie in three weeks during fall break.
Both BBs are shot, what are my options for replacing? Can I replace with a modern BB (if so what spacing?) or what vintage BB am I going to be hunting down if I can't replace new? As far as I know these shouldn't have the 26 tpi count, since they are not old enough according to sheldon and they have the deraillieur mounts above the dropouts.
Again, the same issue with one of the headsets.
I wish I had the frames and photos, but that is a limitation of living on campus. Any help though would be most appreciated!
