I think I'll ride up to Mt. Gleason in the Western San Gabriels this Saturday. Leave 8am sharp from the Lakeview Terrace Rec Center 11075 Foothill, Lakeview Terrace. This ride goes up Big Tujunga to where it meets Angeles Forest Hwy, then on AF to Millcreek Summit ,where the road descends to Palmdale. We however, turn left, or around if you want, there and take Santa Clara Divide Rd. on the ridge of the mountain up to Gleason. It's really pretty up there with 360 views. When Biting Duck and I did it we did the last couple of miles from the P Camp to the actual top of Gleason at 6500. That's like the lifts at Baldy but optional. Without the last part this ride it 70+ miles with about 8k climbing and options for more or less as it's an out and back. Supplys are available at the Hidden Springs Cafe that we pass out and back.

Well, I have one taker so far, thats about my average for this ride.:o This is really a nice ride to some great views. It's not that tough but challenging. I've got to keep climbing, my vertical year isn't over yet.:)
